LD FAQs > Pediatric Neuropsychology
What is Pediatric Neuropsychology?
Pediatric neuropsychology deals with
the relationship of
children's learning and behavior
to their brain structures and systems.
A learning disability does not mean
your child is incapable of gaining
knowledge and growing; instead it
means a different method of teaching
must be applied.
Pediatric neuropsychologists are first
and foremost licensed psychologists who
have developed expertise in how the
development of a child's brain impacts
their learning and behavior. They are
professional psychologists who evaluate
patients, analyze the test results, and
based upon that, devise a targeted
educational program or treatment
plan.
